Brand rollout

Rebranding launch checklist: identity, website and search

A rebrand is usable only when the team can apply it and customers can still find the business. This checklist turns an identity approval into a staged launch.

01

Approve the decision record

Before production, record the approved position, audience, name and message hierarchy. Name the person who can resolve disagreements. Store final assets and usage rules in one accessible place. Confirm which variants are approved for Spanish, English and any other launch language, rather than translating a slogan at the last moment.

02

Inventory every place the old brand appears

List website templates and high-traffic URLs, forms, email signatures, proposals, social profiles, directories, product interfaces, packaging and signage. Mark each as replace, redirect, retain temporarily or retire. Prioritize touchpoints a customer uses to identify and contact you. Assign an owner and acceptance check to each group; a launch deck is not an inventory.

03

Protect website discovery and contact

If URLs or domain change, map each old important URL to its most relevant new destination. Test redirects, canonical URLs, language alternates, metadata, structured data, internal links and sitemaps. Keep essential content accessible during the transition. Submit the new sitemap through Search Console and monitor indexed pages, query trends, form completions and errors. Google's documentation recommends planning and monitoring a site move; no launch checklist guarantees a fixed ranking outcome.

04

Stage the handover and measure adoption

Give sales and support teams approved descriptions, templates, source files and a short explanation of what changed. Decide how long old names and logos may coexist on legal, operational or archived materials. After launch, check whether employees can use the system without improvising, customers reach the right team, and search still points to useful pages. Record fixes by owner and date, then close the project only after the agreed acceptance checks pass.

Choose a date to compare times.

America/Bogota — Representative time zone; some countries have more than one. Check the actual city and agree on a working window. Dates include seasonal clock changes through your browser’s time-zone data.

Budget currency to discuss: COP. The project calculator lets you enter your own rate. It does not convert exchange rates.
