B2B website design for long sales cycles

B2B website design is the design of a site for companies that sell to other companies, where several people approve a purchase that can take months. Dardo designs and builds B2B websites that answer each stakeholder's questions before the first sales call, connect forms to HubSpot or Salesforce and report pipeline, not just visits.

Why B2B buyers need a different kind of website

A B2B website has to sell while nobody from your company is in the room. Gartner's sales research finds that B2B buyers spend only 24% of their buying time engaging with potential suppliers, and every vendor on the shortlist shares that time. The rest of the time, your website, your case studies and what AI assistants say about you speak for you.

Buyers prefer it that way. In a Gartner survey run in August and September 2025, 67% of B2B buyers said they prefer a buying experience without a sales rep, and 45% used generative AI during a recent purchase, mostly to gather information on vendors and products.

The buyer is also a group. Forrester's State of Business Buying, 2026 puts the typical purchase at 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers, with procurement a decision-maker in 53% of buying cycles. One homepage pitch can't answer a finance lead, a security reviewer and a future user at once; each of their questions needs a page the person who found you can forward.

What a B2B website design project includes

The project covers strategy, design, build and the CRM connection in one scope. The foundations are those of our custom web design work; what changes is a page model drawn from your sales conversations, the proof on each page and what we measure. The proposal lists which of these are included:

  • Interviews with sales, customer success and recent buyers, including a lost deal where possible
  • A buying-committee map and a page model that gives each stakeholder's questions a page
  • Solution, pricing-model, security, integration and working-with-us pages
  • A case study format that states scope, evidence and limits
  • Desktop and mobile designs, built as reusable components your team can extend
  • Forms connected to HubSpot or Salesforce, with source fields, routing and spam protection
  • Pipeline reporting that matches website key events to CRM stages

Pages for each person on the buying committee

Each member of a buying group checks something different, and each check deserves a page that passes it without a call. We map the questions your sales team hears most often to the person who asks them:

Pages for each person on the buying committee
StakeholderWhat they check before a callPage that answers it
ChampionWhether you solve their problem, and how to explain it internallySolution and use-case pages, a forwardable overview
Executive sponsor and financeExpected outcome, cost and riskCase studies with scope and measured results, a pricing-model page

A security page that only says "enterprise-grade security" fails the reviewer who wanted to know where data is stored. Our website copywriting service writes these pages with your specialists, in English, Spanish or both, so each claim holds up in a security review.

Proof pages: case studies, security and sales enablement

Proof lets a champion defend the choice internally, so it gets designed pages, not a logo strip. A useful case study names the situation, what was delivered, what changed and how it was measured. Our A medio tono case study reports Search Console impressions and clicks, then states what wasn't measured.

A security page answers the IT reviewer before the questionnaire arrives: where data is hosted, who can access it, which subprocessors you use and which audits you hold. The AICPA describes a SOC 3 report as general use and freely distributable, so it can sit on the page; the detailed SOC 2 report is usually offered on request.

Sales enablement pages are the ones reps send after a call: a comparison with the alternative, an implementation plan, a pricing explainer. In a Gartner survey published in June 2025, 69% of B2B buyers reported inconsistencies between a supplier's website and what its sellers said, so we write these pages from the same messaging as your deck.

Should B2B content be gated behind a form?

Gate only what is worth a conversation, and publish the substance. Google's technical requirements say it only indexes pages that are accessible to the public, so a guide sent by email after a form can't rank, and assistants that answer from the open web can't cite it. Open pages also reach the rest of the buying group, including people who would never fill in your form.

An interactive assessment, a benchmark from your own data or a template that saves a team days of work can justify asking for an email. Our default is to publish the argument as a page, put the file or tool behind an optional form, and compare both routes after a quarter. Search visibility is planned in our SEO service, and how assistants describe you in AI search optimization.

From form to pipeline: HubSpot, Salesforce and reporting

A B2B form is finished only when the inquiry reaches the right person in your CRM with its source attached. We pass campaign parameters and the landing page into hidden fields, route by region, company size or product line, and add spam protection that doesn't punish real buyers.

The platform shapes the build. A custom form can post to HubSpot's Forms API with the visitor's tracking cookie, which HubSpot uses for lead activity tracking, so the pages a buyer read stay attached to the new contact. As of October 2026, Salesforce's Web-to-Lead captures up to 500 leads in 24 hours on Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance and Developer editions, so a spam wave can use up a day's quota; high-volume forms use the API instead.

GA4 can count a successful submission as a key event, but only your CRM knows which inquiries became opportunities and won deals. We report each source and landing page through to closed deals, reviewed by quarter because cycles are long, plus a "How did you hear about us?" field for what no referrer shows. Event planning sits in analytics setup.

How a B2B website project runs, and what moves the price

We start with your sales team, not a moodboard. Discovery covers interviews, the deck, recent won and lost deals and your CRM fields; structure agrees the page model and who approves each page; design starts with the pages that carry the most questions; the build ends with test submissions we follow into the CRM.

The price moves with the number of stakeholder pages and case studies, whether we write the copy or edit yours, the languages and the CRM routing. Our pricing page lists the budget ranges our inquiry form uses. Legal and security approvals can set the schedule, so we name those reviewers before agreeing a timeline.

This page ends the way we design B2B pages, with a short path from evidence to a scoped proposal, and our inquiry form asks for the service and a budget range so the first reply can address your scope.

When a B2B website project is the wrong choice

Choose this service when you sell to companies, more than one person approves the purchase and your sales team keeps answering questions your website should. If your product sells through a free trial and self-serve signup, SaaS website design fits better. If the site already explains the offer but too few qualified visitors inquire, start with conversion rate optimization. If too few of the right people arrive at all, SEO comes first.

Weigh our evidence the same way. Dardo was founded in 2026 and hasn't published a B2B case study with pipeline results. The closest published work is Hyper, a scroll-driven product story we designed and built for an AI customer-intelligence product. If you need a long roster of enterprise clients, a larger agency may suit you better.

Questions before you choose

How much does a B2B website cost?

It depends on the page model more than the page count: stakeholder pages and case studies, who writes the copy, languages, the CRM integration and any migration. The written proposal separates strategy, design, development, content and third-party costs, so you can compare it line by line with other quotes.

How long does a B2B website project take?

We set the schedule in the proposal once the scope is known. Besides content, it depends on approvals: customers must approve their case studies, and the owners of security, legal and product claims must sign off. Naming those reviewers at the start, with review dates, keeps the launch date realistic.

Do you integrate with HubSpot and Salesforce?

Yes. We connect forms with hidden source fields, routing rules and spam protection, and check that test submissions create the right records before launch. We work within the fields and workflows your team agrees to; wider CRM administration stays with your team or CRM partner. Other CRMs with a documented form API can be scoped after we read their documentation.

Should a B2B website show prices?

Show at least how pricing works. Procurement often engages from the start of a purchase, and a page that explains what the price depends on, what's included and where it starts answers them without a call. If prices are negotiated per account, explain the model instead of hiding it. We publish our own starting prices and budget ranges for the same reason.

What do you need from our sales team?

A few hours of interviews, the deck and follow-up material reps send today, some recent won and lost deals, and the questions they answer on almost every call. We also need someone with CRM admin access for the form connection, and an owner on your side to approve each technical claim, because the buyer's reviewers will check it.

Can you redesign our B2B site without losing search traffic?

Yes, when migration is in scope. We inventory the pages that bring search traffic and inquiries, redirect every URL that matters and check the new site in Search Console after launch. A site with years of content and rankings should start from our website redesign service, so the migration is written into the brief.
