Website costs in Colombia: what to put in the brief

Before asking how much a website costs in Colombia, decide what it has to do and who will run it. A brochure, course catalogue and customer portal should not share the same estimate.

01

Write the local and international scope

List the audiences and languages. A Spanish site for Colombian customers has a different content workload from a bilingual site for international buyers. Specify the inquiry destination, service coverage and any existing booking or payment provider.

02

Compare the same deliverables

Ask each agency to price the same template inventory, content volume and integration list. Require a clear distinction between design, development and content entry. Identify who supplies photographs, writes the copy and approves the final Spanish terminology.

03

Keep currency assumptions visible

Request the quote currency and validity period. If the project is quoted in COP while hosting or software is billed in USD, keep those recurring expenses separate. Ask your accounting team how the proposal should present applicable charges; do not infer them from a headline package price.
