Website cost in Bogotá: turn a price search into a usable quote

A Bogotá website budget becomes useful when the buyer can compare the same work, ownership and delivery conditions. The observations below are dated provider publications, not a surveyed market average. Use them to ask better questions, then replace every range with a written scope and currency.

Make the estimate auditable

A provider’s starting price, a scoped proposal and a hypothetical budget are different records. For a Bogotá project, ask for the number of templates, content entries, languages and integrations beside the price.

The worked budget below is deliberately labeled hypothetical. It is a way to inspect cost drivers, not Dardo’s tariff. Obtain a dated proposal for your own brief and compare twelve-month ownership costs separately.

Read price pages as provider observations

On 15 September 2026 I ran the exact searches cuanto vale una pagina web bogota, precio diseño web Bogotá and how much does a web designer cost. Results mix Bogotá-targeted pages, remote offers and a global marketplace; retain each number with its date and source.

TakeYourDesign’s article, published 18 August 2026, lists a Bogotá corporate site at 4,600,000–11,500,000 COP for its basic tier, 11,500,000–27,600,000 COP for custom and 27,600,000–69,000,000 COP for premium work, all excluding IVA; it lists maintenance at 185,000–2,300,000 COP per month. 4U Lab’s article, published 16 July 2026, publishes its Launchpad at 2,800,000 COP with 350,000 COP monthly maintenance and an e-commerce offer from 5,500,000 COP. These are seller offers, not an independent survey.

Juan C. Tamara’s page shows cards from 800,000 COP for a landing, 1,600,000 COP for a corporate package of up to eight sections and 2,500,000 COP for e-commerce, while its summary says 950,000–3,500,000 COP; it says he works remotely from Barranquilla for Bogotá clients. David Lombana’s page describes a Bogotá-based offer and shows 1,499,000 COP for up to 15 internal pages and 1,999,000 COP for up to 25, with first-year domain and hosting. Use them as prompts, not a Bogotá-wide price.

Compare local presence with remote delivery

The word Bogotá can describe the buyer, the service area or the provider’s actual location. Confirm which one applies. If you need a workshop in Chapinero, a local photo shoot, printed material or a meeting at your office, ask for the address, travel treatment and deliverable. A Bogotá landing page does not establish that onsite work is included. If remote delivery works, define Bogotá-time review windows, the decision owner and where files, credentials and approvals live.

Local and remote proposals can be equally valid while buying different coordination. A local studio may ease onsite work; a remote specialist may suit asynchronous reviews. Neither location proves quality, availability or a ranking. State procurement needs: legal entity and invoice details, payment milestones, tax treatment to be checked with the responsible accountant, support hours, data access and who owns the domain, hosting account, CMS and source code. Keep travel, photography, copywriting, translation, paid media and third-party subscriptions as visible lines. This compares delivery responsibility rather than a search label.

Give every finalist the same scope sheet

Before asking for a total, write a small inventory. For example: one homepage, one service template, one case-study template, six service entries, two case studies, a Spanish contact form, analytics, redirects from five old URLs and a CMS handoff. State whether the buyer supplies final copy, translations, photography and brand assets. Name the form destination and who verifies a test inquiry. Classify it as brochure, catalog, store or software; page count cannot describe each system.

Ask each provider to mark included, excluded, assumed and priced-as-an-option. Request separate lines for design rounds, content volume, browser and phone testing, accessibility, technical SEO, migration, training, launch support and defect fixes. For a store, list product count, variants, shipping, payment gateway, taxes, order emails and who handles refunds; do not hide them inside e-commerce. For a Spanish-first Bogotá audience, test the final terminology and the entire inquiry response in Spanish. A shared scope sheet turns an attractive headline into a comparison procurement can audit.

Work through one transparent hypothetical

Imagine a Bogotá professional-services firm commissioning a Spanish-first, eight-section marketing site. It supplies approved photography and copy, needs one contact form delivered to an existing inbox, five old URLs redirected and a CMS handoff. There is no store, login, paid campaign work, new photography or translation. The numbers are a planning example, not Dardo’s quote, a provider’s published price or a market average.

Discovery and information architecture: 3,200,000 COP. Visual design for the page system and eight sections: 7,200,000 COP. Responsive implementation and CMS wiring: 11,200,000 COP. Technical SEO, analytics and end-to-end form checks: 3,600,000 COP. Content polish and Spanish review: 2,400,000 COP. Handoff, training and launch checklist: 1,600,000 COP. The subtotal is 29,200,000 COP. A clearly agreed 10 percent contingency is 2,920,000 COP, producing a working budget of 32,120,000 COP.

At an assumed 4,000 COP per USD, the working budget equals USD 8,030; replace that hypothetical rate with the quote’s applicable currency and rate. If a proposal is 1,600,000 COP, ask which work units it omits or reduces; do not label it cheap or expensive from the total. If English copy, twelve more entries, a CRM integration or onsite photography is added, issue a new scope instead of quietly spending the contingency.

Keep COP, USD and recurring costs visible

A Bogotá buyer can receive a COP project quote while paying software or hosting in USD. Ask for currency per line, validity, payment dates and who carries exchange movement. Show IVA or other applicable charges according to the provider’s invoice and your accountant’s advice; a headline price without tax treatment is incomplete. Do not silently convert a USD total into COP and present the result as a fixed obligation.

Separate build work from platform and operation. Webflow’s official pricing page lists Basic at USD 15 per month and Premium at USD 25 per month when billed yearly, with applicable taxes added at checkout. Those are site-plan fees, not design, content or migration labor. Upwork’s official web-designer page shows USD 15–30 per hour under its median hourly rates label and says the negotiated amount depends on scope; it is a remote marketplace reference, not a Bogotá tariff. Show domain, hosting, email, licenses, maintenance, updates and support response times over twelve months so proposals with different operating models can be compared honestly.

Check ownership before accepting the total

Ask the provider to answer these questions in the proposal: What exactly launches, and how many templates and entries are included? Who writes, approves and translates the copy? Which account owns the domain, hosting, analytics and CMS? Are redirects, metadata, robots rules, canonical links and a sitemap part of launch? Who tests the form from a phone and confirms the received record? What does support cover after the defect-fix period, and what is the recurring COP or USD charge? Which work requires a new estimate?

For an in-person request, add the location, dates, travel costs and tangible output. For remote work, add meeting windows in Bogotá time, asynchronous review rules and the handoff of credentials and source files. Keep the provider’s published figure, your agreed assumptions and the final signed quote as three distinct records. This protects a buyer from comparing a 25-page package with an eight-section build as if they were the same. The goal is a decision that can be explained to finance, the project owner and the person who will operate the site after launch.
