Hiring a studio

Web design studio, freelancer or in-house team: which fits the brief?

The right hiring model depends on the decisions and responsibilities the project contains. Compare the same deliverables, not three proposals that silently describe different jobs.

Compare the same website job

Give every candidate the same content, languages, integrations and acceptance route. Then inspect Dardo's actual work and decide whether a connected studio scope fits your team.

01

Define the job before choosing a team

A single landing page from approved copy is a different purchase from a bilingual website with research, original art direction, content modeling, integrations and a migration. Write down the decisions that must be made, the people who will approve them and the work that continues after launch. Then ask each candidate which parts they deliver directly and where another person is needed.

A freelancer may be a good fit for a bounded specialty or a small project with strong client-side direction. A studio can join design, content and implementation when those decisions affect one another. An in-house team makes sense when the site and product are continually changing and the organization can support the roles. None of these labels guarantees quality or speed; inspect relevant work and the proposed people.

02

Compare equivalent proposals

Give all candidates the same page and template inventory, content volume, languages, systems, launch date and support expectations. Ask for the owner of strategy, writing, design, development, testing, analytics and handover. Separate third-party subscriptions and client-provided assets from the build fee. A lower total can simply exclude more work.

Request one representative acceptance test: for example, a visitor finds a service, understands the relevant project and sends an inquiry that reaches the right destination. Ask to see that route on a phone and with a keyboard. This exposes workflow gaps sooner than a gallery of attractive first screens.

03

Decide how the site will be owned after launch

The proposal should identify domain, hosting, repository, content, design assets, accounts, documentation and the person who will publish ordinary updates. Ask what happens when a team member leaves and how urgent defects are handled. In-house ownership can coexist with a studio build; a freelancer can hand over a sound system; a studio can provide continuing support. Write the arrangement rather than assuming it from the provider type.

Dardo is one option when naming, visual direction, content and working implementation need to align. Its A medio tono case demonstrates that combined scope. Compare it with the exact task you have; the case does not prove that Dardo is the best provider for every budget or that another team's work is inferior.
