Separate phases from waiting
Map discovery, structure, design, implementation and launch checks. For each phase, identify the input needed to start and the decision needed to finish. A week waiting for product copy is not a week of development.
Test risky dependencies early
Prototype the booking integration, unusual interaction or complex content model before producing every layout. Discovering that the selected provider cannot support a required flow late in the project creates avoidable redesign.
Protect the launch window
Leave time for real-device checks, content review and deployment verification. Agree on a content freeze and a recovery plan. If the deadline is fixed, reduce the first release scope deliberately instead of pretending every late addition is free.
